About the City of Lodi, The Area and All that it Entails in Review and in Summary
Lodi is a well-known and popular city that is located in San Joaquin County, in the state of California, in the northern portion of California's Central Valley in the United States of America. The population was 62,134 at the 2010 census as reported by the United States Census Bureau. Its estimated population as of July 1, 2013 was 63,338.
Lodi is probably best known for being a center of wine production, (the "Zinfandel Capital of the World"), although its vintages have traditionally been less prestigious than those of Sonoma and Napa counties in truth. However, in recent years, the Lodi Appellation has become increasingly respected for its Zinfandel wine and other eclectic varietals too. National recognition came from the Creedence Clearwater Revival song "Lodi." Nearby Woodbridge is the home of the well-known winery, Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi. Mondavi actually grew up in Lodi, and Mondavi Winery is considered one of the most influential in the American wine industry as well.
Drug and Alcohol Addiction and Abuse on the Rise in Lodi, California
Sadly, as this is very much a, “wine town”, the residents of Lodi often suffer with varying degrees of addiction and substance abuse, most often to alcohol and prescription drugs. This is the truth and is very often the case for many of the residents of Lodi and for many of those who visit there. Truthfully, if something is not done soon here to rectify the issue then it is feared that it will get worse and worse to a point where it essentially takes over in the area.
Facts and Statistics on an Addiction Nightmare in Lodi, California
Sadly, addiction is becoming a major issue not only in Lodi but all across the nation too. Some facts and statistics have been included below that essentially highlight the issue for all to see:
• Drug and alcohol addiction and abuse has in a lot of ways spiraled out of control in the United States since the turn of the century. A very good way to estimate the impact of substance abuse in the nation is to count how many Americans seek treatment for addiction every single year. Since the turn of the century, that number has skyrocketed.
• On this point, The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, (SAMHSA), reported that well over twenty-three million Americans sought out professional drug and alcohol rehabilitation in the year 2009 alone. This number represents almost a full ten percent of the U.S. population that is over the age of twelve!
• The opiate drug heroin, while often seeming to be dwarfed in popularity next to newer, more powerful, pharmaceutical drugs, is still immensely popular worldwide too, and in the United States.
• In the year 2007, a full ninety-three percent of the world’s opium supply came from the country of Afghanistan. The total export value of these drugs was about four billion dollars, of which almost three quarters went to traffickers and dealers. Only about a quarter went to the Afghan opium farmers themselves though.
Rehabilitation: How Those Addicted are Beating Addiction Once and for All in Lodi
It is sad to say it but it is the truth that drug and alcohol addiction has had a serious effect on the residents of Lodi. The effect has been a terrible one to say the least. Unfortunately, this issue has gotten worse, and worse, and worse since the turn of the century and most disappointingly it has shown absolutely no sign of lessening or going down at all or in any way really. The fact of the matter here is that something really does need to be done though because the issue at this point couldn't really get any worse.
In today's day and age, addiction has taken on a whole new level of intensity in Lodi. Here is a crisis that has manifested itself the most in the youth of the nation and in the working class too. This is unfortunate, but it is the truth for sure. Sadly, the individuals who live here have all in some way or another been affected. It is now thought that almost everyone has been affected by the crisis, whether they are themselves addicted or are related to someone who is. It's times like these that the helping hands offered by inpatient rehabilitation centers truly show themselves to be the potentially best approach for beating this crisis once and for all.
With inpatient rehabilitation, anyone who is addicted to anything can truly win the battle against the addictions crisis once and for all. With inpatient rehabilitation, one will have access to wide array and plethora of not only detoxification techniques to address chemical dependence but also different types of therapies to address mental and spiritual addiction too. It is generally thought that a course through an inpatient rehabilitation program is easily the safest way to beat addiction, and this is most definitely true.
It is possible for literally anyone who is addicted in Lodi to win the battle against drug and alcohol addiction once and for all with a total life overhaul. The help offered by inpatient rehabilitation programs is so effective and powerful that it is now being recommended for anyone who is addicted to seek out such programs as quickly as is possible.
