Wildomar is a lovely and popular bedroom community, suburb, and supporting town and city in Riverside County, in the state of California, in the United States.  The city is located in what is known as the fast-growing area of Riverside County. As of the 2010 census as reported by the United States Census Bureau, the population of Wildomar was 32,176, an increase from 14,064 at the 2000 census just ten years ago, when the community was still at that time an unincorporated census-designated place.

As for its history, by the start of the 20th century, Wildomar even had its own newspaper though it was still a very small town. The railroad in Wildomar is what built the town, but this track continued to be plagued by washouts and within a few years, the rail connection south from Temecula to San Diego was abandoned. With fewer trains to really put the town on the map, Wildomar’s development slowed. Then, in the year of 1935, rail service to Wildomar was abandoned and the rails were pulled up back to Pinacate. Wildomar was almost a forgotten community for a brief period of time there. Then, in the year of 1985, the Temecula Valley Freeway (I-15) was completed, bringing with it a new wave of interest in the area. Once again, Wildomar had begun to grow and experience new prosperity thanks to this key completion.

Today Wildomar is now an eclectic community of old and new, more mature homes and acreages with horses and other animals mixed with more modern housing tracts to boot. Nestled between the cities of Murrieta and Lake Elsinore, Wildomar officially became a city on July 1, 2008 and has now begun to boom as a result in increased interest in the pleasant and quiet town.

Substance Abuse Makes Waves in Wildomar and Other American Towns and Cities

Since the turn of the century drug and alcohol addiction and substance abuse in general has started to really hit home and to hit it hard too.  This is an issue that has steadily worsened over and over again to the point of becoming a full on problem and in a big way too.  In fact, if something is not done to rectify or at least make an attempt at address this then it is feared that the issue and problem will only be further exacerbated by a rising tide of addiction problems and concerns.

This is the fate that awaits Wildomar if nothing is done to handle the issue.  Addiction has made waves all across the nation too.  For example:

• Sadly, it is true to say that alcoholism and alcohol abuse can lead to dangerous health problems and, in some cases even, to death.  U.S. alcohol abuse and addiction statistics, for example, reveal that approximately 50,000 cases of alcohol overdose are reported each year.  Moreover, in 2009, an estimated 30.2 million people 12 or older reported driving under the influence of alcohol at least once in the past year alone.  In addition to that, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, (CDC), reported no less than 14,406 alcoholic liver disease deaths and 23,199 alcohol-induced deaths, (excluding accidents and homicides) in the year of 2007.

• Not only is drug and alcohol abuse in the United States dangerous to a high degree, it’s also extremely costly for all considered.  In 2002, for example, the cost of substance abuse to American society was an estimated $181 billion and no less. Of this, an overwhelming $107 billion was associated with drug-related crime and everything that goes along with that.

• Alcoholism and alcohol abuse are easily among the most common, devastating, and costly problems in the United States by far.  In fact, recent studies have shown that approximately no less than 53 percent of adults in the United States have reported that one or more of their close relatives has a drinking problem to one degree of severity to another.  Those most vulnerable to problem drinking are young adults between the ages of 18 and 29, while those least susceptible being 65 years of age or older.  These young adults are most particularly susceptible to binge drinking by far, (five or more drinks in two hours for men, four or more drinks in two hours for women).  In fact, binge drinking accounts for easily more than half of the alcohol industry’s $155 billion market, and more than 75% of the beer industry’s market all told.  In the year of 2002 for example, U.S. alcoholism statistics showed that 2.6 million binge drinkers were between the ages of 12 and 17.

Rehabilitation: The Proper Way to Address Addiction on a Permanent Level

There’s no doubt about it, there are only a few different ways to successfully address addiction, and the most successful of those by far is with inpatient rehabilitation.  Inpatient rehabilitation is easily the most successful way to beat addiction because it is with inpatient rehabilitation that one can effectively address all aspects of addiction once and for all.

Rehabilitation is effective because rehabilitation in California addresses every single aspect of addiction.  This is what those addicted in and around Wildomar need; an all-encompassing, all inclusive approach to eradicating addiction once and for all.  Rehabilitation has powerful detoxification tools and techniques that can be used to eradicate chemical dependence and withdrawal symptoms.  Rehabilitation also offers successful counseling, therapy, life skills, electives, relapse privation, coping strategies, aftercare, and other techniques to address and handle all of the mental and psychological aspects of addiction too.  With these techniques and therapies, it can finally become a realistic concept to really tackle and win with rehabilitation once and for all.
