Drug Addiction and Substance Abuse Hits Hard in the Peaceful and Prosperous City of Temecula

Sadly, all of the flare and spontaneity of Temecula has not been able to keep drugs and alcohol out of the city.  In fact, following the economic crisis of 2008, drug and alcohol addiction and dependence only became more and more of an issue in nice cities like Temecula because now drug dealers had moved into more prosperous and wealthier cities as client bases in big urban meccas had started to dry up.  This has been the lot of life for Temecula since around 2009.  The city has seen increases in drug crime, drug trafficking, drug addiction, drug abuse, drug violence, and drug thefts and accidents too.  If something isn’t done soon, it is feared that the problem will only get much, much worse long before it ever gets better.

Facts and Statistics: Drug and Alcohol Abuse a Big Deal in the United States

Drug addiction and substance abuse is a big deal in the United States these days, and it has been for some time now.  Sadly, drug addiction and alcohol abuse has never actually been as severe in the United States as it is now.  To better understand the crisis as it occurs in the United States and as it compares to similar issues in other countries some facts and statistics have been included below:

• The United States, which actually has only a miserly five percent of the world’s population, still manages to consume a staggering eighty percent of the world’s annual supply of opiate drugs and substances.

• Americans are not the heaviest, but are still pretty heavy drinkers.  For example, Americans consume 9.2 liters of alcohol per capita and have a past-year alcoholism rate of 4.7 percent. Contrast this with a country like Italy, where a mere 6.7 liters or alcohol per capita are consumed there and alcoholism affects only 0.5 percent of the population annually, and this is a country that traditionally likes to party.

Rehabilitation: The Best Solution for Drug and Alcohol Addiction and Dependence

Studies show that the best way to address a drug or alcohol addiction lies in taking a course through an inpatient, residential, drug and alcohol addiction and dependence treatment center, detox facility, rehabilitation program, and recovery organization.  With this type of approach, anyone in the U.S. who is addicted to anything, no matter who they are, no matter what they are addicted to, no matter how long they have been taking it, no matter how often they take it, and no matter how much of it they take when they take it, literally anyone can find freedom and sobriety from drug and alcohol addiction.

Inpatient rehabilitation is the real key here.  Only inpatient rehab centers offer the types of services and treatment options that can really save someone from drug and alcohol; addiction once and for all, because only inpatient rehab centers offer services that are extensive enough to be able to address all of the intricate workings and constructs that embody drug and alcohol addiction.  For those addicted in Temecula, inpatient rehabilitation is the key to creating a full recovery.
