About the City of San Jacinto and the Surrounding Areas
San Jacinto is a well-known and popular city that is in and around Riverside County, California. The city was initially named after Saint Hyacinth and is located at the north end of the San Jacinto Valley, with Hemet to its south and Beaumont, California, to its north. The mountains associated with the valley are the San Jacinto Mountains and are known for their beauty and splendor. The population was 44,199 at the 2010 census as reported by the United States Census Bureau. The city was founded in 1870 and incorporated on April 20, 1888, making it one of the oldest cities in Riverside County by far.
The city is well known for being the home to Mt. San Jacinto College, a community college founded in the year of 1965. San Jacinto will also be home to the eastern end of the Mid County Parkway, a planned route that would eventually connect it to the city of Perris. In the late 19th century and early 20th century, the city became a home to many dairies, and a center for agriculture too.
San Jacinto also is home to the Soboba Casino, a gaming casino owned and operated by the Soboba Band of Luiseno Indians. The Sobobas are sovereign and self-sufficient in community affairs. They have opened an Indian tribal school, the Noli Academy. The city and the surrounding areas have increased in popularity for these reasons too. The economy has grown as a result of this, as has the population.
Drug and Alcohol Addiction and Substance Abuse on the Rise in and Around the City of San Jacinto

Drug Addiction and Rehabilitation: The Only Way to Beat the Problem Once and for All
There is a veritable drug and alcohol addiction crisis and epidemic that have been sweeping across the nation of late. Some areas and urban places have been affected more so than others, and San Jacinto is one of them. This is a city that, prior to the turn of the century, did not have any serious drug and alcohol addiction problems to speak of. Now however, the situation has worsened quite a bit and it is feared that it will only get worse as the years go by.
Before one tries to help someone who appears to be addicted to drugs and alcohol in San Jacinto, one must be able to prove beyond any reasonable doubt that the individual actually is abusing drugs and alcohol. There is a simple way of doing this, and that is to amass evidence and clues that the individual truly is abusing drugs and alcohol. For some information on this, some signs and symptoms have been included below:
People and individuals in San Jacinto and all across the nation for that matter with drug problems might act differently than they used to. For example, they might:
• Spend a lot of time alone
• Lose interest in their favorite things
• Get messy—for instance, not bathe, change clothes, or brush their teeth
• Be really tired and sad
• Be very energetic, talk fast, or say things that don’t make sense
• Be nervous or cranky (in a bad mood)
• Quickly change between feeling bad and feeling good
• Sleep at strange hours
• Miss important appointments
• Have problems at work
• Eat a lot more or a lot less than usual
Changes in habits can manifest themselves in ways like:
• Problems at school or work — frequently missing school or work, a sudden disinterest in school activities or work, or a drop in grades or work performance
• Physical health issues — lack of energy and motivation
• Neglected appearance — lack of interest in clothing, grooming or looks
• Changes in behavior — exaggerated efforts to bar family members from entering his or her room or being secretive about where he or she goes with friends; or drastic changes in behavior and in relationships with family and friends
• Spending money — sudden requests for money without a reasonable explanation; or your discovery that money is missing or has been stolen or that items have disappeared from your home, indicating maybe they’re being sold to support drug use
When these signs are observed, it’s time to start looking into holistic rehabilitation. With rehabilitation, the drug problem in San Jacinto can actually finally start to go down once and for all. With rehabilitation, the problem can lessen slowly but surely to the point that it no longer exists in San Jacinto.
