In the United States, drug and alcohol addiction and substance abuse in general has become extremely severe and actually quite dangerous. This danger and concern is quite warranted indeed with more than eighty thousand Americans dying every single year from their substance abuse problems. Furthermore, the overall number of those who are addicted has increased by more than seventy-five percent.

For Imperial Beach, the drug and alcohol abuse problem could not be any worse than it currently is now. This problem is a severe one to say the least, with three times as many drug-related arrests occurring in this city in the past year than other cities have experienced in the last ten years. The answer to all this lies in  rehabilitation. With the help of inpatient rehabilitation centers, anyone who is addicted to anything can win the battle against substance abuse once and for all. This is what needs to be done in Imperial Beach and it needs to be done as soon as is possible.
